King Tides Project In Mendo County

King Tides Project In Mendo County

Glass Beach, Fort Bragg, CA, USA

Join MLT at Glass Beach as we hike during the King Tides Project.

BYO lunch and camera. We’ll meet at the beach end of the Glass Beach parking lot at 9 am and do the loop around to the Trestle Bridge, taking pictures and hopefully enjoying a glorious day on the Coast! BYO lunch.

The California King Tides Project helps us visualize future sea levels by observing the highest tides of today. It’s a part of documenting current conditions and helping gauge the effects of global warming. You can help by taking and sharing photos of the shoreline during King Tides to create a record of changes to our coast and estuaries. Hike will be led by MLT Board Member and Environmental Educator, Lorrie Lagasse.
