Become a Monthly Supporter

Like many nonprofits, MLT receives the majority of its gifts at year end. While we appreciate every donation, our monthly donors allow us stability and peace of mind by ensuring that every month we have money coming in to pay expenses that continue year-round: rent + utilities, staff salaries, and equipment as needed. Monthly supporters make sure that conservation happens every month, every time it’s needed. And it’s easy – on the donation form specify an amount of your choosing and set the drop down to monthly. If you prefer to donate monthly from your bank account our staff is happy to talk you through setting that up. Call our office at (707) 962-0470 or email info@mendocinolandtrust.org.

Donate in Honor or Memory of a Loved One

On the online donation form, select “My donation is in honor of” or “My donation is in memory of” and fill in information about your honoree and if desired, supply an address for us to send a card or email notifying someone of your donation.

Transfer a Gift of Stock

Mendocino is a place that once you’ve visited, you never forget. The beauty and quaintness and the rural and rugged character inspire a desire to preserve it. Conserve the character of Mendocino County by naming Mendocino Land Trust in your estate plans. By doing so, you will help ensure this legacy continues for generations to come.

Several charitable giving options are available that allow you to make a gift with long-term impact. Your personal circumstances will dictate the best way for you to make donation. There are multiple types of planned gifts. When compared to a traditional cash gift planned gifts might provide greater income tax benefits, or current income, or estate tax benefits. We encourage you to talk with your attorney, financial planner or tax specialist before deciding on a course of action.
