Chamberlain Creek Salmon Habitat
Mendocino Land Trust is designing and installing a new crossing on Chamberlain Creek to replace a partial barrier to salmon migration. California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Fisheries Restoration Grant Program funded this project, and 100% designs for a new stream crossing are complete. This new crossing will allow unimpeded passage for all life stages of salmonids and open 1.6 miles of upstream spawning and rearing habitat that was previously inaccessible. The project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2027.
