Conservation Easement: Salmon Creek & Big River Forests

In 2024, the Conservation Fund donated two separate conservation easements of forestland along Big River and Salmon Creek to MLT, totaling more than 16,000 acres of vital and diverse watershed habitats. The conservation easements cover 11,707 acres of forest within the Big River watershed and 4,389 acres at Salmon Creek. Both are high-priority watersheds for anadromous salmonids, crucial to the recovery strategy for California coho salmon.
