Hare Creek Beach is owned and managed by Mendocino Land Trust. We rely on volunteers to maintain our network of public access trails and beaches. Volunteers spend the day pulling invasive plant species, picking up garbage, maintaining the trail, and taking in the beautiful scenery. Hare Creek Beach workdays are generally scheduled for the second Saturday of the month and are open to all ages and experience levels. At 2:00PM, Eric Wilder, former chairman of the Kashia Band of Pomo Indians, will open the event with a Kashia Pomo song and talk about the cultural significance of the Gualala River. This will be followed by a panel discussion with RCLC and scientists from Prunuske Chatham, Inc.
