Coastal Cleanup Day in Mendocino County
Since 2002, the Mendocino Land Trust has coordinated Coastal Cleanup Day in Mendocino County as part of the statewide California Coastal Cleanup Day event sponsored by the California Coastal Commission. The Land Trust works with local individuals, business and community organizations to gather volunteers, and establish new cleanup sites throughout Mendocino County.
Coastal Cleanup Day is a great way for families, students, service groups, and neighbors to join together to take care of our fragile marine environment, show community support for our shared natural resources, and to have fun!

About California Coastal Cleanup Day - A Statewide Event
California Coastal Cleanup Day is sponsored by the California Coastal Commission and is the premier volunteer event focused on the marine environment in the country. On this day tens of thousands of volunteers clean sites throughout California, making this one of the longest running and largest volunteer events in the state. Since the program began in 1985, nearly 700,000 Californians have removed more than 10 million pounds of debris from our shorelines and coast. Read more about Coastal Cleanup Day, visit the Coastal Commission's Coastal Cleanup Day website.
