Pelican Bluffs Volunteer Day
This stunning preserve, located just south of Point Arena, offers 2.2 miles of public trails along dramatic white cliffs. The ocean views from these cliffs are truly spectacular. Pelican Bluffs preserve is home to endangered Point Arena Mountain Beaver and several rare plants, as well as a Bishop pine forest and a creek that is recovering from cattle grazing. There is also a short, flat, loop trail that wraps through a lovely little forest and an open meadow.
Pelican Bluffs is owned and managed by the Mendocino Land Trust. We rely on volunteer stewardship workdays to maintain our network of public access trails and beaches. Volunteers spend the day pulling invasive plant species, picking up garbage, maintaining the trail, and taking in the beautiful scenery. Stewardship workdays are open to all ages and experience levels.
Pelican Bluffs volunteer days are scheduled as needed. Find all currently scheduled volunteer opportunities on our Events page.
