Hare Creek Beach

On January 5, 2010, the Land Trust completed the purchase of this 5.6 acre jewel in Fort Bragg.  The Land Trust intends to permanently manage the property.  In 2010, the Land Trust will write a management plan for the property and begin working towards opening the beach to public access.

This acquisition was made possible by a grant from the California Coastal Conservancy and a generous matching donation from a local Fort Bragg resident. To learn more about the acquisition, click here.

Hare Creek Beach is located immediately southwest of the Highway One and Highway 20 intersection in Fort Bragg, California.

Become a Hare Creek Beach Steward

Volunteers will be needed throughout the year to aid the Land Trust in monitoring and restoration activities, such as invasive plant removal, habitat restoration, and trail building.  Volunteering is a fun way to get outdoors and contribute to the well-being of a local beach.

If you are interested in becoming a Hare Creek Beach Steward, contact Jenny Hall at 707-962-0470 or email jhall@mendocinolandtrust.org.
